At the 12th edition of En Coulisse with Solotech, the Little Ones got a chance to shine again during their inagural North American tour.

The Little Ones at the 2011 Event Live Expo
At the 2011 Event Live Expo and the North American debut of the Little Ones, RSM Ray Whitton and Aaron Hubbard from Clearwing Productions took a moment for a quick snapshot. Also at the opening ceremony on the StagePro Inc. stage, the design used the VLX Wash and VL3500W FX demo “Six Packs”. Thank you to Jay Waller and Danny Herman for working with us to make this happen!

During the debut of the VARI*LITE Little Ones at Prolight + Sound 2011, Vari-Lite Technical Training Manager Todd Kessler conducted a Product Preview and Technical Roundtable for the VL440 Spot, VL770 Spot, and VL880 Spot for Vari-Lite dealers worldwide.

At a recent Paul McCartney show, Vari-Lite RSM Ray Whitton took a quick shot of Head of Security Brian Riddle and his Granddaughter Hannah checking themselves out in HD video.

Juanes at the AAC
During his 2011 P.A.R.C.E. Tour, International Recording Artist Juanes took a moment to pose backstage with Gabriel Friedstadt, son of Vari-Lite RSM Jaime Friedstadt, while at the AAC in Dallas, TX.

Sting in Lima, Peru
On February 23, 2011, LD Danny Nolan and Sting came through Lima, Peru, on the "Sting Sinfonico in Latin America" tour where local dealer Red Power Peru was ready with 30 VL3000 Spot and 30 VL3500 Wash luminaires.

Southeast Theatre Conference "Tech Mixer"
RSM Thommy Hall sent in some shots of the Southeast Theatre Conference "Tech Mixer" held Wednesday night, March 2, 2011. This was attended by 500 students, school faculty and manufacturers exhibiting at SETC. The Tech Mixer brings technicians together before the conference starts so that they can network throughout the conference. This year the sponsors were Philips Vari-Lite and Tomcat. The high-energy hour and a half included over 150 prize giveaways by co-hosts Thommy Hall and Max Wilson of Tomcat.


Philips Vari-Lite Gives Back to the West Side Theatre Guild
At their production of "Lyrics 14: The Best Of...", West Side Theatre Guild lighting designer Guy Rhodes worked with Vari-Lite RSM Leo Miller on a donation of VL500A and VL500 80V Wash Luminaires so that the student crew could gain the experience of working with VARI*LITE luminaires.

VARI*LITE inside the Grand OIe Opry
When the Grand Ole Opry was struck by a devastating flood, lighting designer Tyler Bryan was forced to redesign the overwhelming majority of his entire lighting system. When it was time to rebuild, he worked with Bandit Lites to go all VARI*LITE with his automated fixtures including 16 VLX Wash, 17 VL3000 Spot, and 22 VL2500 Spot luminaires.
