The SmartColor Control system reduces the color mixing complexity of multichromatic color mixing systems down to CMY+CTO for simpler, repeatable programming. SmartColor Control allows programmers to set the color mix and temperature they need, just as they would select the color filters and lamp type in a traditional lighting application. The lighting fixture automatically decreases the appropriate levels for the different LEDs to meet the desired color at the set color temperature.  This provides the user tremendous control of the color without having to remember what the LED colors are in the fixture and how to set them.  With the flexibility, ease of control, and wide range of color possibilities, designers can create more looks easier when using multichromatic fixtures from Vari-Lite.

The VL*FX System is an exclusive dynamic effect animation system that create dynamic projected and mid-air effects. VL*FX is a complete package of animation effects that can be layered with gobo or used on their own. The mechanical design of the system allows for the same level as control as you would expect to find on a rotating gobo image, and the effect includes the ability to index or rotate the image along with mega-stepping and gobo twisting. VL*FX gives designers access to a completely new toolbox of looks that can be controlled remotely and added or removed from the beam. VL*FX adds a new layer of texture and creativity to lighting designs, bringing truly inspiring lighting effects.

The innovative Vari*frost system is the first true variable frost system, combining precise mechanical and optical design techniques that provide designers with a truly seamless graduated frost that diffuses the entire aperture at one time. Vari*frost provides the ability to increase or decrease the gradient of the diffusion level being applied to the projected image remotely from any DMX console without the need for any mechanical changes to the fixture hardware.

To simplify startup and minimize movement in the rig, the patented V*Track Calibration system calibrates pan and tilt on the fixture while only requiring it to move to 50/50 home position during the process. This ensures the fixtures are calibrated in less time, with less lasting effect or potential for damage to the rig or hanging scenery.

Vari-Lite’s V*Track systems offer an advancement in the combination of mechanical and electronic hardware systems that are digitally controlled using advanced software controls. V*Track Focus aligns the zoom and focus group lens to ensure the set focus remains as close to constant while the size of the image is changed via the zoom control without the need to slow the movement or reduce the zoom ranges as found in other “focus track” type systems.

Vari-Lite’s SmartFan Control is an active fan level control system built into Vari-Lite luminaires that allows the user to maximize the balance between fan speed levels, noise, and light output. The SmartFan Control system allows for 3 different levels of fan control. The multi-mode fan control allows the programmer to manage fan noise, offering a low dB experience across all frequencies, eliminating buzzing or hums.

Dichro*fusion® blades offer variable beam diffusion thanks to a set of movable blades on the front face of the fixture. In addition to a customizable diffusion, the blades provide a vintage styling reminiscent of the legendary VL5 when using in direct-view applications. The remotely adjustable blades are a powerful functional element while also providing a strong visual element that radiates the colors of the color mixing system.

Manual Preset Mode in Vari-Lite fixtures is a way to program light cues into a fixture when no DMX controller is present, making it easy to use intelligent lights in architectural / architainment lighting applications. There are 20 available locations where you can store fixture cue information, and cues can be recorded from a DMX controller or using the user interface on the front of the fixture. When in Manual Preset Mode, the Vari-Lite fixture automatically plays back the selected preset whenever it is powered on, for dynamic lighting in architectural environments where there is no DMX controller.

Vari-Lite’s updated EasySwap fixed color wheel makes clean the loaded colors or  customizing the fixed color wheel fast and convenient. The EasySwap system allows for the mounting of the glass to a carrier which can be easy clipped into its desired position on the center drive wheel.

A Vari-Lite monochromatic light engine offers a densely packed array of white LED diodes laid out and combined with an integrated optical system that delivers a homogenized white beam projection of light. The Vari-Lite monochromatic light engine offers a a tight beam in a fixed color temperature with a high quality of light.

A Vari-Lite bichromatic tunable white light engine includes two different colors of white LED diodes in a densely packed array laid out and combined with an integrated optical system that delivers a homogenized white beam projection of light. The bichromatic light engine gives access to color temperatures that can be adjusted within a specific range, maintaining the highest quality along with a balanced output.
