Customers proclaim new theatrical luminaires to be a great balance of output and price.

Dallas, USA – Vari-Lite, a Signify (Euronext: LIGHT) entertainment lighting brand, today announced that the Acclaim LED Fresnel, Acclaim LED Zoomspot, and Acclaim LED Profile Light Engine (PLE) are now shipping. The Acclaim LED Series, which was first announced in August, is a complete range of theatrical luminaires ideally suited for education theatre spaces, community stages, and small houses of worship.

“The response to the new Acclaim LED Series has been tremendously positive,” states Martin Palmer, Senior Product Manager, Vari-Lite Luminaires at Signify. “Customers tell us that the fixtures have a very nice output for the price, which was definitely our goal with this range. We have also heard comments back about how sharp the gobo projection is on the Acclaim LED Zoomspot and PLE, with customers speaking highly of the fact that no additional accessory filter is required for gobos.”

The Acclaim LED Series includes

• Acclaim LED Fresnel – a full-color theatrical Fresnel wash fixture offering control and light quality superior to comparable PAR fixtures. The Acclaim LED Fresnel has an adjustable 10° to 50° zoom and an even, soft-edged beam that easily blends with adjacent fixtures without hard edges to soften with frost filters or hot spots to smooth out in the beam.

• Acclaim LED Zoomspot – a combination full-color profile engine and zoom lens with an integrated 25° to 50° manual zoom and focus. The four-blade manual shutter system gives excellent control to shape and focus the light, providing precise adjustment of the flat, even beam to key light performers or highlight parts of the set.

• Acclaim LED PLE – a full-color LED ellipsoidal light engine that works with SPX lenses, offering exceptional output with consistent color mixing to the Acclaim LED Zoomspot for applications where a longer throw or wider spread is needed.
